Victoria records 221 new local COVID-19 cases

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews says the state has recorded 221 new local COVID-19 cases. During a media conference on Wednesday, Premier Andrews said 98 of today’s new cases are ā€œlinked to known outbreaks and other cases that are already in the systemā€. Mr Andrews said there are now 1,920 active COVID-19 cases in the state. He said 86 per cent of all active cases are in people who are under the age of 50.
