Lizzo was on the bill for Bonnaroo 2021 alongside the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Foo Fighters and Tyler, the Creator. The storm left the venue in Manchester, Tennessee āwaterloggedā forcing organisers to pull the plug with just one day to go. Ida has since been downgraded to a tropical storm and is still traveling through multiple states since making landfall in Louisiana, cutting out power in more than 1 million homes. The Juice singer took to Instagram in the wake of the news to tell her fans to stay safe as the downpour from Ida continues. She said: āHonoured to be your first female headliner @bonnaroo. āTake care of yourselves everyone who is in the path of the storm. Safety first.ā A statement shared from the festivalās social media accounts read: āWe are absolutely heartbroken to announce that we must cancel Bonnaroo. WE WILL SEE YOU ON THE FARM IN JUNE 2022!ā It added: āAll tickets purchased through Front Gate Tickets will be refunded in as little as 30 days to the original method of payment.ā Like many live music events, Bonnaroo was cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
